If this is true, I just need to find someone to borrow the CD from, or if I can install off a copy of the CD, perhaps I can find someone to mail me a copy.I don't think this would violate any terms with Blizzard, I just don't want to pay for another official game/disc. Warcraft 3 picks up the story many years after the Second War. Story is a very important part of the Warcraft universe. The Frozen Throne expansion has a lot more available and more people online still playing.Is my only option to buy a new copy of Frozen Throne? I spoke to Blizzard and they said if I don't need a new CD key, I can buy a replacement disc for 10-15 dollars (and I have to mail them my CD Case or Manual if I recall correctly).I don't want to go through this, and I think I can just install off anyone's Frozen Throne, and it no longer requires the CD in the drive to play. Warcraft 3: Gold Edition includes: Reign of Chaos. but unfortunately the DOTA and TD games available on War3 are very limitted. This is good for those people who bought the game 4-5 years ago, lost the CD case.
Just run this program, and then W3, click on Local Area Network, Alt+Tab, and BAM, you have your CD key. However, my Frozen Thrown CD has a crack in it.So I can install War3, and play. A nice little tool that grabs your CD key from the depths of the MPQ file. I have my War3 and Frozen Thrown CDs and CD keys. So I'm in the mood to play some Warcraft 3 games on my laptop.
